How to connect your SiVIEW box to the internet

Here are the steps to connect your SiVIEW box to the Internet:

Before starting the connection, make sure that the box is turned on and the tablet is unlocked.

Option 1 : Network connection through cable Ethernet RJ45

This type of connection should be preferred whenever possible

Option 2 : Network connection through Wi-Fi

If you don’t have an RJ45 Ethernet wall socket in your refraction room, you can connect your SiVIEW box V2 to the internet through Wi-Fi.
To do this, please follow the steps below.

Step 1 : How to open the box V2 Wi-Fi settings

  • On your tablet, launch the SiVIEW Exam application by clicking on the icon.
  • Introduce your connection ID and your password.
  • On the top left corner click on the burger icon.
  • In the dropdown menu select “preferences”.
  • In the preferences page click on SiVIEW Box settings.
  • The tablet is now displaying a page where you can see the SiVIEW Box and the refraction devices connected on below. Please hold the button “configure Wi-Fi” on the right.

Step 2 : Connection to your Wi-Fi network

  • Once you are on the BoxManager homepage, click on “WiFi” in the menu on the left side of the screen.
  • Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
  • Enter the password
  • Once you are connected, the network should appear in green. A green message will also appear at the top saying: “Currently connected to: X (chosen network)”, along with the channel you are connected to.

Step 3 : Ensure that your exams are available on the website

On your computer:

  • Log in to mysiviewtech.com and introduce your ID and password (The same ones you use to log in to the app with the tablet.)
  • Once logged in, you should see your list of eye exams.
