During astigmatism verification, SiVIEW does not rely solely on the cylinder in the initial prescription or on the preference expressed at the beginning of the test. The cylinder is retained only if it provides a real visual benefit.

If the patient prefers a reduction or removal of the cylinder and the resulting visual acuity is the same or better, the cylinder is reduced or removed from the final prescription.

The goal is to select the most appropriate correction, i.e. the one that provides the best visual outcome for the patient.
