No device detected or connection issues with the SiVIEW Box

🤔 Problem description

A connection or operating issue appears to be affecting one or more dongles of the SiVIEW Box v2, preventing the refraction devices from working properly.

🛠 Solution

Here is how to resolve device detection or connection issues with the SiVIEW Box.

Step 1 : Connect to the SiVIEW Exam application

  • Launch the SiVIEW Exam application and log in to your SiVIEW account.

Step 2 : Access the main menu

  • Select the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step 3: Open the preferences

  • In the drop-down menu, select ‘Preferences”.

Step 4 : Navigate to the settings

  • Press your shop name repeatedly at the top of the screen, and then select “SiVIEW Box settings”.

Step 5 : Check the list of connected devices

  • For the refraction devices to be recognized by the SiVIEW Exam application, start by accessing the box settings. On this screen, you should see the name of the SiVIEW Box as well as the refraction devices connected to it. If no device appears, click the “Connect to my SiVIEW-BOX (v2)” button.
  • Next, check the status of the box in the list of available boxes. if the status indicator is partially green and gray, this means that no dongle is currently connected to the box.
    In this case, make sure the dongles are properly connected to the SiVIEW Box.
    If the issue persists, restart the SiVIEW Box.
  • You should then see the refraction devices connected to the SiVIEW Box.
