Synchronizing Patient Lists for a Change of Tablet

Why is it necessary to synchronize patient lists when changing tablets?

When the store encounters connection problems with a box, examinations remain stored locally on the tablet without being transmitted to the server. When changing tablets, synchronizing data from the old tablet preserves patient files and ensures continuity of medical information.

What are the benefits of data synchronization?

  • Preservation of existing patient records.
  • Reduced discrepancies in reports and dashboards.
  • Data continuity without loss or duplication.

Steps to synchronize patient lists from an old tablet

Before returning the tablet to SiVIEW.

Step 1: Check the status of your tablet's Internet connection

  • Confirm that the tablet is connected to the Internet.
  • Open the SiVIEW Exam application.

Step 2: Manually synchronize the patient list

1. Go to the “Patient list” menu

2. Each patient is displayed with information such as :

  • ID number
  • Information
  • Date of birth
  • Last examination

3. If a patient does not have an ID number in front of its information, but instead displays two green arrows, this means
that the view exam has not yet been synchronized with the server.

4. To synchronize these tests manually :

  • Slide your finger down the screen to restart synchronization.

5. Make sure that all sight tests are synchronized:

  • Go to the SiVIEW server and compare the sight tests with those on the tablet.
  • Take the last examination performed on the tablet and check that it appears on the server.
